– Shawn Michaels stated the following on Twitter Monday: “FYI, I’ll be signing at the Big Game Forever booth (booth 140) Hunting Expo in Salt Lake City, on Saturday Feb. 11, at 10:00am.”

– The official website of Florida Championship Wrestling has added Summer Rae to their Divas roster page. Summer Raw is Danielle Moinet, a 28-year-old model and former American football player who played with the Chicago Bliss of the Lingerie Football League. Since debuting in the developmental promotion late last year, she has been trying to assume Maxine’s position as General Manager of FCW.

– Torrie Wilson is scheduled to appear at Collectormania on April 15, 2012 from noon to 2:00 p.m. The event is located at 59 Syracuse State Fairgrounds Syracuse, New York.

– John Morrison will be heading to the Middle East in April to wrestle, according to his booking agency, The I.P.A. Network. He will be wrestling for Qatar Pro Wrestling on April 26-28, 2012.

I can read along as the Bella Twins make fun of Dolph Ziggler, or I can read Dolph’s awesome, egotistical tweets, CM Punk’s amazing banter with fans, Eric Young’s love of hockey, Robbie E.’s love of himself, Hurricane’s comedic tweets, or about MVP chillin’ in Japan, or about Kelly Kelly being, well, Kelly Kelly.”

“In 2006 I tried out for the Diva search. Out of 20,000 women auditioning, I was picked. That’s where the adventure had begun and what a long road that was! I could only speak 10 words of English at the time, however, WWE management told me that I had such an exceptional presentation in French, haha! They loved it, and they loved the fact that I didn’t care and just went for it!

I learned how to listen carefully to everything, every detail, and I think that I needed a character that people could relate to, without speaking, which is very hard. I developed a heel persona and everything about Maryse was presentation, facials, gestures. Over the years, I learned how to work a live crowd and perfect my craft. I believe that Maryse’s persona was the best female persona in years within the WWE.”

It will mark as his first appearance on the program since the June 27, 2011 show.

– The Rock ‘n’ Roll Express, Ricky Morton and Robert Gibson, have been announced for the annual NWA Wrestling Legends Fanfest weekend. The event takes place August 2-5, 2012 in Charlotte, North Carolina

I attended the World Wrestling Fan Xperience (WWFX) Champions Showcase Tour debut event at the Smart Araneta Coliseum in Manila. We estimated a crowd of less than 1,200 in a building that seats 15,000 or more. Everyone was saying a DVD would be produced as cameras were filming. 

* They started about an hour and half late but Colt Cabana opened the show and did a good job getting everyone ready.

* Jimmy Yang beat Billy Gunn.

* Hurricane Helms had his first match in a long time and defeated Shawn Daivari. Referee Rudy Charles also wrestled Daivari during the match.

* Colt Cobana introduced a kid who was guest ring announcer.

* Melina beat Jillian Hall.

* Beer was brought into the ring and Luke Gallows came out straight edge style and ran down Melina for needing alcohol. Rhino made the save and beat Gallows with a distraction from Melina and the Gore.

* Carlito beat Snitsky.

* MVP beat Chris Masters.

* John Morrison beat Shelton Benjamin to become the first ever WWFX Champion. Morrison had a big victory celebration with confetti and the other face wrestlers in the ring with him including Melina.

Overall it was an average show. The card looked real exciting on paper but none of the matches except Morrison and Benjamin stood out. Judging by crowd reaction most everyone felt the same way.

- Helms, who had his first match since a serious motorcycle accident, wrote the following on Twitter:

“I’m far from “back.” I still got a long road ahead of me but @WWFX last night was certainly encouraging. Great show with great people.”

While MVP praised WWFX officials and mentioned future shows:

“WWFX is a 1st class organization! I look forward to working with them in the future! As I understand it there will be more shows to come.”
