New Tag Champions crowned, Orton, Brock Lesnar

Epico and Primo def. Kofi Kingston and Evan Bourne to become the new WWE Tag Team Champions at WWE’s Raw house show event earlier today in Oakland, California. WWE referee Scott Armstrong and Epico confirmed the title change via Twitter.

Randy Orton has been pulled from all advertising for the Monday Night Raw taping tomorrow in Anaheim and the Smackdown tapings on Tuesday in Las Vegas. Orton remains listed for the 1/23 Raw taping in Phoenix and is scheduled to appear at the Royal Rumble PPV on 1/29 in his hometown of St. Louis.

According to a report by Dave Meltzer of The Wrestling Observer Newsletter, a member of WWE creative recently inquired about any talks with Brock Lesnar following his retirement from MMA and if Paul Heyman would be involved. Vince McMahon reportedly said Heyman wouldn’t be involved and that was the end of it. The strong belief is that if any talks happen between WWE and Lesnar, it will be kept very quiet.
