Results From “Death Before Dishonor IX”
Ring of Honor returned to The Manhattan Center in New York City this past Saturday night for “Death Before Dishonor IX”. Results from the show saw:
1. Rhino & Tommaso Ciampa beat Homicide & Jay Lethal when Ciampa pinned Homicide
2. ROH World Tag Champion Shelton Benjamin defeated “The Prodigy” Mike Bennett
3. Elimination Match: The Young Bucks beat Future Shock (Adam Cole & Kyle O’Reilly) & The Bravados Brothers; Future Shock eliminated The Bravados first, then The Young Bucks beat Future Shock
4. El Generico vs Jimmy Jacobs ended in a No Contest
5. ROH World Tag Champion Charlie Haas pinned “Unbreakable” Michael Elgin
6. Ringmaster’s Challenge: Eddie Edwards beat Roderick Strong
Roderick Strong won the first fall which could only be won via pinfall, Eddie Edwards won the 2nd fall which was submission only, the 3rd fall which was 15 minute Ironman went to a draw but ROH Executive Producer Jim Cornette ordered it to continue under sudden death rules; Edwards finally scored the winning fall after 40 minutes of action
7. Ladder War III: The All Night Express (Rhett Titus & Kenny King) beat Jay & Mark Briscoe to earn a ROH World Tag Title match at “Glory by Honor X”; This match must be seen as all four men absolutely brutalized each other with ladders, chairs, and tables. Much blood was spilt, and its a shock that none of the four suffered any serious injury. After the war, Kenny King dipped his fingers in Jay’s blood and signed “ANX” on the contract in blood.
