9/5 Monday Night Raw rating, Nash, Rock vs Cena
The 9/5 Labor Day edition of WWE Monday Night Raw drew a 3.0 cable rating with 4.2 million viewers. The first hour drew a 3.06, while the second hour drew a 2.94.
This is down from last week’s show that drew a 3.15 rating.
Kevin Nash wrote the following on Twitter today regarding WWE’s announcement that he’s been released and “future endeavored”:
“To set the record straight, I passed physical w/ flying colors. Cardiologist was amazed at my lipid profile. Couldn’t reach financial terms.
I will not be addressing this matter again. I am moving forward with my life. Cena, it was great having the chance to get to know you.”
The Rock will be appearing at this year’s Survivor Series pay-per-view but isn’t expected to be wrestling. Sources expect him to deliver a promo and get physically involved somehow with Cena, but not wrestle a match.
The WrestleMania 28 build is set to go in full effect at Survivor Series and Rock will likely appear at the Royal Rumble and Elimination Chamber.
The Figure Four Weekly Newsletter reports that there has been talk of doing a best-of-three series between The Rock and John Cena to solve the problem of who wins the WrestleMania main event. It’s talk right now but if it happens, Rock and Cena would wrestle at WrestleMania, Extreme Rules, and then at SummerSlam 2012.
